About

Maria von Wensierski was born in Pomerania on May 24, 1954. From an early age, painting was her great passion. Her talent became evident in primary school when she won first prize in an art competition—a fully funded trip to Germany.

Later, Maria emigrated from Sopot to Hamburg, where she continued to dedicate every free moment to her art. With each brushstroke, she transforms blank canvases into expressive, vibrant works that invite viewers into a world of color and emotion, with many paintings responding to different light conditions, creating a dynamic, ever-changing visual experience. Many of her exhibitions, including the acclaimed series “Our Beloved Earth,” reflect her deep appreciation for nature, optimism, and the joy of life’s simple moments.

A true optimist, Maria inspires those around her to cherish small moments and live without unnecessary worries. Her philosophy is simple yet profound: “Let’s love and respect each other—not compete.” She believes that passion takes flight, pleasure is fleeting, and reason, though it follows, often arrives too late.

Her paintings have been exhibited and sold in France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Sweden, England, Poland, and throughout South and Central America.
